Bio: Totodile was sort of an accidental addition to the team, Blake having run into him while visiting the beach in Olivine City. But the little guy was relentlessly determined to follow Blake, and eventually he caved, realizing that being a runt, he probably wouldn't be able to fend for himself very well in the wild anyway. Totodile is definitely the current baby of the group, and Blake is very protective of him. In turn, Totodile seems to consider Blake his mother figure, much to his trainer's chagrin.

Hasty Nature
Ability: Torrent
Other: Seems unable to evolve, and his trainer has yet to figure out why, or what to do about it. Totodile seems perfectly happy to stay the way he is, however, and his trainer also seemingly has no qualms about it.
Shredder
Bio: Blake's first Pokémon, she was raised from a Magikarp under the condition that Blake could only leave on his journey once he evolved it to a Gyarados. At least his parents were nice enough to let him choose the one he wanted. He spent a lot of time watching the Magikarp in the Dragon's Den before making his decision, eventually settling on the rowdiest of the bunch. Evolving hasn't changed her demeanor much, it's just allowed her to be more expressive with said rowdiness. She's fiercely loyal to her trainer and the rest of the team, and has a pretty big mothering streak under her mischievous exterior. She's fierce and terrifying in battle, but basically a giant puppy to her trainer. A very large puppy, who is full of sharp teeth. Blake also finds it amusing to see other trainers' reactions to finding out Shredder's a female Gyarados, based on her brash behavior.

Other: There's a large chunk of her left whisker missing, lost sometime when she was still a Magikarp.
Javelin
Bio: Javelin was one of the first Pokémon Blake caught after leaving home and moving to Goldenrod City. He's the long-suffering, no-nonsense member of the bunch, but he's really a big softie under his disgruntled facade. On the semi-rare occasions Blake lets his whole team out, Totodile can often be found riding on Javelin's back, or curled up next to him for a nap.

Ability: Poison Point
Other: His left ear droops slightly.
Careen
Bio: Another oldie in the group, she was also caught near Goldenrod as a Pidgey. She's slightly prissy but not obnoxiously so, and has no problem putting aside her appearance for the sake of a good battle. She also doubles as an aerial lookout for the group, often tackling such tasks as spotting potential dangers around the area, or seeing if there's a nearby town.

Ability: Keen Eye
Other: Her head feathers end in a large curl. Whether this is natural or some extra grooming on the part of her or her trainer is anyone's guess, and neither one is telling.
Malvolio (Mal)
Bio: He was unofficially 'inherited' from another trainer who said they were going to dump him off somewhere because he was becoming too much to deal with. Blake took him in without a second thought, not knowing what the Pokémon's so-called 'problem' was. He found out soon after sending him into battle: the small Pokémon suffered from seizures. Blake was overwhelmed at the prospect at first, having no clue what sort of first aid to administer the poor thing and briefly wondering just what he'd gotten himself into. He's learning on the go, however, and there seems to be a great deal of progress being made.

Other: Wears a red bandana around his neck.
Beacon (Bea)
Bio: She was caught when the group headed to Sinnoh with a certain pink-haired girl. Having noticed that the little Shinx wasn't doing too well in her family group, Blake tried to coax her to join him instead. She was very feisty and reluctant at first, but eventually he won over and caught her. Being the newest to the bunch, she's eager to prove herself in and out of battle. She already has the makings of a great patroller, often making mock-rounds when the group settles in for the night.

Ability: Oblivious
Other: She's awfully fluffy for a Numel, and has a curly moptop on her head, along with curly hair along her neck, joints, and tail. She also doubles as a convenient portable space heater.
Vicegrip (Vice for short)
Bio: Initially she was caught due to the association with a certain childhood hero, but Blake soon found out the scorpionbat was far from heroic. She's a bit of a prankster and does not discern between friend or foe on the matter, believing everyone equally worthy of her tricks. She also has a bit of a kleptomaniac streak, which her trainer has had to apologize for multiple times. Her mischievous tendencies also carry over into her battling style, often taunting her foes into a rage and swiftly keeping just out of their reach before striking.

Citadel
Bio: On the group's trek through Sinnoh, Blake picked up an odd-looking rock because he thought it looked neat, not thinking much about it. When they stopped in Oreburgh to take a look at the museum and Blake spotted a brochure on the fossils found in the area, he realized just what he'd been lugging around with him (and occasionally playing toss-and-catch with when he got bored). With a bit of trepidation and a fair amount of embarrassment, he brought the poor thing forward to be examined and revived, figuring it was the least he could do for how he had treated it beforehand. The little Shieldon seems blissfully unaware of the goings-on before he was hatched, which Blake is endlessly grateful for.
